As most of you know, I’m trying (and only sometimes succeeding) to plan a November wedding in my hometown of Austin. The catch is that I’m doing this all from Pittsburgh, where we currently live. I don’t have a lot of extra time or cash to jet back and forth between the two cities for the next nine months and thus have learned to rely heavily on technology for wedding planning help. Seriously, I can’t even imagine how people planned such a big, important, expensive event before the invention of the internet. How did they coordinate with far-flung members of the wedding party? How did they know what kind of décor they wanted or the name of the best place to buy 100 white linen napkins? I don’t purchase anything major without reading a detailed product description and tons of reviews, and making decisions for the wedding has been no different. I rely heavily on technology and the internet and can’t imagine doing any of this detailed planning without it. Head over to my life scoop to read more about how I’m using technology to plan my wedding.
