Going to the Chapel

I've always been a bit nontraditional when it comes to feelings about wedding dresses.  Part of this comes from the fact that I don't think what's popular right now looks good on me.  I dislike myself in long, strapless dresses, and rarely look or feel happy in them.  With that in mind, I fell down a Pinterest rabbit hole the other day and pinned about a hundred versions of what I would look for in a wedding dress.  Not that I'm getting married any time soon, but a girl can dream, right?

I like this one because it has a boat neck.  I don't think enough clothes have boat necks, and they're so cute and flattering!

As you can probably tell, I want a knee-length or tea-length dress.  I love that this one is flouncy.  I'm sure it would be super fun to dance in!

I like this one a lot.  D said it looked more like a party dress than a wedding dress, but I liked that I could probably wear it again!  Maybe I'm too practical for my own good.  Although I love that Heather commented on my pin "I could definitely see you wearing this!"  She knows me well.

I think this one is my favorite.  When I showed it to my mom she said "I could totally make that."  I might have to take her up on that in a few years!

Just imagine these with pulled-back hair and a fascinator or pillbox hat with veil.  LOVE.  Maybe I'll change my mind between now and when I'm actually shopping for wedding dress, but for now this the idea I am absolutely in love with.  I'm curious--am I the only one who wants a short wedding dress I can move in?  Do you think I'll change my mind once I actually try on a big, floor-length dress?
