Wine and Love Thursday

It's Thursday, which means tomorrow is Friday!  And, it's time for Wine and Love.

Here are my whines for the week:
-I'm in a serious clothing slump right now.  It's mid-February and I'm tired of all my winter clothes, but we're still at least a month out from any semblance of spring.  I can't go shopping, and "shopping in my closet" isn't as thrilling as shopping at Banana Republic.  Is superfrugality month over yet?
-The search for suitable housing continues, and if I had to sum up the offerings in one word it would be BLEAK.
-I'm sad I don't get a spring break.  Remember spring break?  How awesome was that?  D gets a WHOLE WEEK off (9 days with both weekends, but who's counting?) and I'm green with envy.  I mean sure he'll be here doing research instead of on a beach somewhere but still.  Jealous.
-Running a household (I say that like I'm Lady Grantham or something) is a lot of work!  All the cleaning, cooking, list-making, and bill-paying take up a surprising amount of time (I can only imagine what this is like with kids).  D steps in when he can (see also: cooking every night) but since I have more free time, it makes sense for me to do more of these tasks and man, they get annoying fast.

Things I'm loving:
-My parents are coming to visit in less than a month!  I can hardly wait to see them.  Has it really only been since Christmas?
-We're currently planning a trip for the end of May and wow, I'm really excited.
-I'm going to NYC for work in June and I'm also really pumped for that trip.  Now I just have to convince D to come with me and stay for the weekend.  I haven't been to New York in almost ten years, which means it's been way too long to only spend 3 days there.
-I've finally completed all my checkups/eye appointments/etc and have a clean bill of health from every doctor I visited.  Hooray for not having to go through that whole rigamarole for another year!
-Thank God for healthcare, and furthermore for Obamacare.  Do you know how much those wellness visits cost me?  $0.  Preventative medicine at it's best.
-Since Valentine's Day was a bust, we're going to celebrate Pi day instead.  What's Pi day?  Something my adorable boyfriend thought up.  March 14 (3.14) is the new Valentine's Day, according to him, and it's not during Superfrugality month so we can even go out to eat if we want to get fancy.
