I feel like I took a photo album's worth of pics of just doors.
Almost all of them lead into beautiful interior courtyards that are open to the outdoors.
Lush gardens right in your living room. I could get used to that, especially in a tropical climate.
Also, the tiles. The tiles! They're everywhere. On sidewalks, in homes, in churches, etc. They're all made by an Italian family who immigrated to Granada over 500 years ago. If you have a really old, colonial house and accidentally break a tile, just go to the small factory and they'll make you a new one. Of course it won't have the patina of time, though, so be careful with such beauty.

Hi! I just started following your blog as a recommendation of 20SB. I went to Granda this past january for 8 days and absolutely loved it! I was there to teach current physical therapists/students new PT techniques- which was a lovely way to see the city/country and truly embrace the culture! Love your doors pictures- those were my favorite as well!

Glad you had such a great time! All those doors are stunning. Can't wait to hear more!
Love all the door photos. And tiles. I have a thing for tiles. How cool would it be to be able to go and get a new tile made? I think there is something to the "old world" style of living sometimes...
