Things that have me reaching for some spiked egg nog:
-We have mice. The whole apartment building has mice. We have found, erm, droppings. In our kitchen. SUPER. First it was The Great Bedbug Incident of 2011, now mice. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got locusts in the spring, that’s just how awesome this apartment is.
-I have no vacation time. Literally, zero hours. I’m using the two days I managed to accrue to go home for my dad’s birthday on the 21st because we’re not officially “out” for the holidays until December 23. Now I’m kind of regretting taking those two days because D and I want to go on a big vacation this summer, for at least a week, but I won’t have enough days until after June. Dislike.
-I miss Chicago. It felt great to get back there this weekend, and it also made me realize how confident and content I feel in that city. It really feels like home.
Things that I’m loving:
-I had SUCH a fantastic weekend surprising Kristina in Chicago. Best idea ever. I love surprises!
-I am rocking it at the gym lately, and I start to miss it if I don’t go for a few days. I love that feeling of being “addicted” to exercise. It makes it so much easier to get myself to the gym after work every day!
-Including today, I only have four work days before I’m on winter break/vacation until January 3!! 7 paid weekdays days off in a row is such a good perk.
-D is DONE with finals on December 16 and I can’t wait. He gets almost a month off of school before he has to get back to the grind of classes and crazy homework assignments. Hopefully we can do some fun things on the weekends before it’s back to studying.
