Wine:
-I wrote about this a bit yesterday but I'm still learning my way around this city and I keep getting lost! It seems no matter how many times I look at a map I still manage to get a bit turned around and have to either pull up the GPS or call D.
-D started working in the research lab this week so I've been on my own during the day and I'm running out of ways to entertain myself. Have any ideas?
-I took my bike for what I thought was a small problem and it turns out there is a huge issue that isn't really worth it to fix. So sad, especially considering I've had this bike for a long time and have grown really attached to my "antique" 1970's blue Dawes that's made out of steel and about as heavy as I am.
Love:
-I accepted my new position and have a start date set, but asked them if they'd be willing to negotiate on the salary. They were, and gave me every cent I asked for! How lucky/awesome is that?!
-I'm getting a $15 CMU domestic partner ID card, which means I can ride the bus for free and use the student gym. I'm so stoked about not having to buy a gym membership!
-I saw a movie by myself for the first time ever yesterday and it wasn't awkward at all. It was actually kind of awesome. I saw Crazy Stupid Love and I totally recommend it.
-I got a Pittsburgh library card yesterday and am so excited to start borrowing books and DVDs from the Squirrel Hill branch, which is about a mile away from my house.
