First off, we watched a really interesting documentary the other night about urban exploration. It was called Urban Explorers: Into the Darkness and it's on Netflix instant. I love the idea of urban exploration but I don't love the reality of wading through sewers and crawling into dark holes. This brings me to my link though. Are you guys aware of Xanadu Houses? Amazing. Weird and kind of ugly, but fascinating. Also makes you think--what are we "pioneering" today that will be laughed at in 30 years?
Second, I just love this brief snippet from the Freakonomics blog. I had to teach my phone to curse when auto-filling words. A first-world problem, yes, but hilarious.
Third, this has been going around the interwebs lately. Check out this article from Consumer Reports on the price differences in similar men's and women's products. I buy men's shaving cream sometimes because I've noticed it's a lot cheaper but now I'm thinking I should do this for many many more products.
Bonus: a list of air-filtering plants! Thanks to my friend Sharon for sending that to me. When I buy my air filter at Target maybe I'll hop over to Home Depot and pick up a few of these guys as well.
