A couple weekends ago we decided that we better get out to the Indiana Sand Dunes before it started snowing. The weather in Chicago has been ridiculous lately and we're not experiencing a long, slow descent into winter but are actually speeding toward it at breakneck speed. So even though it was rainy and gross, we decided to take our chances. It stopped raining after we'd been there for an hour and we had a lot of fun. Totally worth it!
This is before it stopped raining

Beautiful! What looked like the highest point in the whole midwest!

We did the run down the dune and jump into the air photos:

And then it stopped raining and the weather was perfect and crisp and cool. We had the trails to ourselves and the trip was totally worth it.
