Chumba-who?

Oh those guys with that stupid drinking song? Yes, Chumbawamba. They are best known for their song "Tubthumping" which is, in fact, about consuming lots of alcohol. But! They just came out with another album, titled The Boy Bands Have Won. I heard a new song off this album a couple nights ago, on the Austin NPR channel called KUT, and the song is kicky and cute and very very different from Tubthumping. It's called El Fusilado. Very different. Did you know that Chumbawamba has been around since 1982? That is longer than I have been around! And they started out as an Anarcho-punk band but have run the gamit, it seems, come 3/4 of the way around the circle, however you want to put it, and the newest album is more folk-y and acoustic. I've been listening to it on YouTube practically nonstop for the last couple of days and I love it. Does anyone else do that? If there is one particular song that I want to listen to I find it on YouTube and listen to it like a radio or something, usually completely ignoring the accompanying video, until I am absolutely sick of it. Anyway, without further ado, El Fusilado from the new Chumbawumba album called The Boy Bands Have Won. You should have a listen.

Updated to add: Holy shit this is a real story! Omg! This song keeps getting weirder and weirder! From the Chumbawumba website:
A true story. Wenseslao Moguel was captured while fighting in the Mexican revolution in 1915 and without trial sentenced to face the firing squad, ‘las sentencias al paredon’. After being shot by the squad, and despite receiving the ‘tiro de gracia’ (shot at close range by the captain), Wenseslao somehow survived. He managed to escape and spent much of his life touring the USA with the ‘Ripley’s Believe It Or Not’ traveling museum.
