When talking to a friend about my new job (which I haven't even started yet) I was musing that it would probably seriously cut into my studying and emailing time, and she made this astute observation:
"All I have to say is new job + more money = new shoes. I'm good at math -- trust me on this equation."
Really, what else does a 23-year-old with few ties and little responsibility need to worry about? I'll be the old woman who lived in her shoes!
