Just Call Me Crazy

I signed up to take the GRE again. D-day is December 20, 4pm. I don't know what I was thinking. My mom suggested that I could probably improve my score 20 points, to an even 1200, which is the unofficial cutoff for many of the top 20 grad schools, schools that I plan on applying to. I guess so. I scored a 530 on the quantitative portion, which is about 35%. I scored a 650 on the verbal, which is 92% and the score that matters most to people who want to go to graduate school for English Literature. People like me. Thing is, even with that verbal score, my overall score is only 1180, which is 20 points shy of the 1200 point cutoff. So if I improve 20 points, which is the equivalent of one or two correct questions more, I will be golden. And, since I'm more familiar with the test and also have less pressure with a 92% already under my belt, I have nothing to lose. So here we go again. 3 weeks and counting.
